Am 11. September wurde in der taz eine Kolumne zweier Autorinnen mit dem Titel „Durchs wilde Deutsch-Kurdistan: Rechte und linke Projektionen auf Rojava“ veröffentlicht. In ihrer Kolumne versuchen sie, aus ihrer Perspektive skizzenhaft darzustellen, welche Gemeinsamkeiten „die deutsche Linke“ auf der einen Seite, und die AfD auf der anderen Seite in Bezug auf Rojava aufweisen und mit einer weiß-eurozentrischen Perspektive die kurdische Bewegung für sich vereinnahmen.

Zuerst ist wichtig zu fragen: Ihr redet von Befreiungskampf, den die weißen „Deutschen“ nicht verstehen, aber habt ihr die Radikalität und die realen Konsequenzen dieses Kampfes überhaupt verstanden? Diese Menschen, von denen ihr redet, sind für Ideale und Überzeugungen in die Berge Kurdistans und nach Rojava – in die demokratische Föderation Nordostsyrien – gegangen und viele haben ihr Leben für die Luft gegeben, die wir alle atmen, um in der kapitalistisch-patriarchalen Gesellschaft überleben zu können. Es ist höchst anmaßend, diesen Menschen ihre Überzeugung und Opferbereitschaft abzusprechen.
Es ist absurd, mit einer Staatslogik auf die deutsche Geschichte zu gucken, belächelnd zu sagen „immer waren es die Deutschen, die unter Systemen litten, für die sie nichts konnten“ und gleichsam abfällig die Perspektive von unten zu ignorieren. Warum werden hier die Perspektiven der kämpfenden Bevölkerung, der Gruppen und Einzelpersonen und ihre Widerständigkeit verleugnet? Wenn schon das Fass der deutschen Geschichte aufgemacht wird, warum werden alle, auf einem Territorium lebenden Menschen als eine einheitliche Gruppe abgestempelt und die „Rechten“ und die „Linken“ gleichgesetzt? Und wo verortet ihr euch eigentlich?
Jenseits der überheblichen Argumentation, von der die Leser*innen nicht klar wissen, aus welcher Position sie ausgesprochen werden, und jenseits herablassender Begriffe wie „Hoppelei“ und „Hüpferei“ für einen Kampf, in dem täglich Menschen aus Überzeugung ihr Leben geben, stellt sich die Frage, was mit den Aussagen bezweckt werden soll. Einfach einen Artikel darüber zu schreiben, wie die „deutsche Linke“ die „Kurd*innen“ ausnutzt, um ihren Wunsch nach „Revolution“ erfüllen zu können, ist ziemlich kurz gefasst. Denn weder gibt es die „deutsche Linke“ als eine homogene Masse, noch lassen sich die „Kurd*innen“ ausnutzen.
Zu behaupten, die „deutsche Linke“ beute die kurdische Freiheitsbewegung nur aus, bleibt in der patriarchalen Subjekt-Objekt-Logik verhaftet. Nicht ein einziges Mal habt ihr in eurem Artikel in Erwähnung gezogen, von „Solidarität“ zu sprechen. Zur Information: Die kurdische Bewegung denkt „critical whiteness“, „cultural appropriation“, „orientalism“ oder besser gesagt, die „Karl Mays“ in der westlich-weißen Mehrheitsgesellschaft mit! So ist die Gesellschaft in Rojava keine Schafsherde, die nur darauf wartet, dass ein paar weiße Hirt*innen nach Kurdistan kommen, um sie zu zügeln oder zu lenken.
Es stimmt, dass die demokratische Föderation Nordostsyrien, sowie ganz Syrien Plätze des „Elends und der Kriege“ sind, jedoch ist es wichtig klarzustellen, welche Ideologien und welche Mächte diese Orte zu einem Kriegsfeld gemacht haben und immer noch machen. Klarzustellen, was für ein gesellschaftliches Projekt dort erkämpft, aufgebaut und verteidigt wird. Warum sich so viele Menschen mit der kurdischen Bewegung identifizieren. Ich stimme zu, es ist ein enorm wichtiger Punkt davon zu sprechen, dass es weiße Menschen gibt, die klare Orientalist*innen sind, die die Revolution in Rojava/Kurdistan für ihre eigenen Interessen in Anspruch nehmen und sie romantisieren. Diese Kritik bleibt aber oberflächlich, wenn alle Internationalist*innen als Orientalist*innen abgestempelt werden, diese Orientalist*innen in eine einheitliche Kategorie „die deutsche Linke“ gesteckt werden und die deutsche Linke gleichgesetzt wird mit der AfD – Endergebnis: die vermeintlich „deutsche“ Gesellschaft. Diese Menschen können aber nicht auf diese skizzierte Karikatur reduziert werden. Eine solche Definition vertieft die Widersprüche und Konflikte der Menschen, die in die engen Definitionen der Nationalstaaten gezwängt wurden. Genau solche Argumentationen sind es, die Konflikte anheizen, nationalistische Stimmung hervorrufen und letztendlich zu sogenannten „ethnischen Konflikten“ führen.
Eine der Stärken der kurdischen Bewegung ist, die verschiedenen Kämpfe miteinander zu verbinden, voneinander zu lernen, sich gemeinsam zu bilden. Für diese Prozesse wurden mit viel Mühe durch Frauen* Bildungszentren erkämpft, eine eigene wissenschaftliche Herangehensweise und Analyse – die Jineolojî – entwickelt und Akademien aufgebaut. In der Praxis werden unter anderem die Mentalität des (weißen) Mannes und die orientalistisch-romantischen Vorstellungen vom Kampf aufgegriffen. So werden patriarchale Konzepte und Weltsichten innerhalb des revolutionären Kampfes direkt angesprochen und den Menschen so eine Möglichkeit gegeben, internalisierte Machtstrukturen zu reflektieren und zu überwinden. Diese Annäherung wird allen Menschen verschiedener Strömungen nahegebracht, ob sie weiß, liberal, patriarchal oder orientalistisch sind. Denn nur so ist es möglich, mit allen Menschen gemeinsam ideologisch, militärisch und gesellschaftlich auf Augenhöhe an allen Fronten und Plätzen der Welt zu kämpfen!
Vergessen wir nicht, dass Dank der Solidarität der Menschen weltweit die internationale Dimension des IS und die Verstrickung aller hegemonialen Mächte im sogenannten „syrischen Bürgerkrieg“ öffentlich gemacht wurde und die USA gezwungen war, den YPG-YPJ bei der Befreiung Kobanês beizustehen. Die USA taten das nicht, weil sie so humanistisch sind. Es ist von enormer Wichtigkeit, die Solidarität von Menschen, die eine jahrzehntelange und bedeutende Geschichte hat, nicht zu negieren oder klein zu reden.
Um nicht beschränkt auf die Situation in Kurdistan zu schauen, muss zwischen orientalistischen Vorstellungen und einer wirklichen Suche nach Internationalismus differenziert werden. Was steckt hinter diesen Gedanken? Es muss die Frage gestellt werden, wie es denn sein kann, dass die Solidarität kritisiert wird? Wie kann es sein, dass in einer Zeit, in der die kurdische Frauen* an allen Fronten der Welt kämpfen, diese Äußerung in der taz von zwei kurdischen Frauen kommt? Dieser Sachverhalt zeigt sehr deutlich, dass sie sich hauptsächlich auf die Welt des weißen Mannes fixieren, Männer beschreiben und sich an ihnen abarbeiten. Die Frauen* finden keine Erwähnung! Sind sie etwa auch aufgrund „antiimperialistischer Sehnsüchte“ nach Rojava gegangen?
Selbstverteidigung ist einer der faszinierendsten Gründe, warum so viele Frauen* sich auf den Weg nach Rojava machen. Damit WIR Frauen* in der kapitalistisch-patriarchalen Gesellschaft überleben, uns auf allen Ebenen verteidigen, uns mit dem Konzept der Frauenbewegung kritisch auseinandersetzen und voneinander lernen können. Frauen* weltweit identifizieren sich mit der kurdischen Frauenbewegung. Denn gemeinsam kämpfen und gemeinsam aufbauen, das ist ein Verständnis von Solidarität!
Um die Arbeiten der Internationalist*innen kennenzulernen, müssen wir nicht nach Rojava gehen, sondern finden sie hier vor unserer Haustür: In den kurdischen Vereinen wird internationalistisch gearbeitet. Die internationalistische Arbeit ist keine Arbeit, die einfach nur zum Spaß gemacht wird, sondern sie ist eine harte und solidarische Arbeit, die uns an unsere Grenzen bringt. Es wird auf vielen anderen Ebenen Opferbereitschaft gezeigt. Hier in den Kiezen werden Diskussionen geführt, hier bilden wir uns gemeinsam, hier interessieren wir uns füreinander und hier kritisieren und entwickeln wir uns gemeinsam in unserer Praxis. Das ist der Nährboden einer starken Organisierung, die Grenzen überwindet!
Internationalist*innen sind nicht erst seit der Revolution in Rojava ein Teil der kurdischen Freiheitsbewegung sondern seit Beginn der 1990er, wie die Internationalistin Andrea Wolf – Nom de Guerre: Ronahî, die 1996 in die Berge Kurdistans ging und 1998 fiel. Ja, eine „Deutsche“. Aber mehr als eine „Deutsche“ war sie eine Frau – eine Internationalistin – ein kämpferisch-schöpferischer Mensch!
Hier stelle ich die Frage, ob es ausreicht, eine Kurdin zu sein, um zu entscheiden, wer wann was zu Kurdistan machen kann oder darf? Reicht es aus, einmal in Kurdistan gewesen zu sein, um den Kampf dort verstanden zu haben? Reicht die Recherche für die taz-Kolumne aus, um die Auseinandersetzungen der linksorientierten bzw. autonomen Gruppen in Deutschland zu verstehen, die zu Kurdistan und anderswo arbeiten? Nein!
Also lasst nicht zu, dass durch dieses Schwarz-Weiß-Denken die Gesellschaft noch mehr zersplittert wird. Lasst uns die Debatten nicht auf „Mann/Frau*“ und „weiß/alman – nicht weiß/kurdisch“ reduzieren! Und lasst uns Kritik aneinander respektvoll äußern, damit wir uns gemeinsam weiterentwickeln können, statt die patriarchale Logik von Spaltung, Zersplitterung und Vereinzelung weiter zu führen.
Das ist nicht zielführend beim Aufbau einer über die Grenzen hinaus reichenden demokratischen und freiheitlichen Gesellschaft.
